Project Details

Bathroom plumbing on a residential project in Concord for HCM Build. The job covered rough-in and fit-off for the shower, vanity, toilet and tapware.

The bathroom used a wall mixer, an in-wall cistern and a ceiling-mounted rain shower, so all services were concealed. Set-out was taken off the finished tile face and vanity dimensions at rough-in.

Rough-in was completed ahead of the waterproofer. Fit-off followed once tiling and joinery were in, with certificates issued at completion.

Scope of Work

  • Water and waste rough-in set out to finished tile and joinery dimensions
  • Concealed in-wall cistern and flush plate

  • Wall hung vanity and semi-inset basin
  • Shower and floor drainage
  • Fit-off, pressure testing and certification

Our Approach And Solution

The basin mixer height and spacing, the shower mixer position and the ceiling drop for the rain head were all dimensioned before rough-in and confirmed with the tiler and cabinet maker. With concealed tapware there is no adjustment once the walls are sheeted.

We worked to HCM Build's dates so rough-in was done and checked before waterproofing started, then came back for fit-off after tiling and joinery. Compliance paperwork was handed over at completion.
